An MO-14 (from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fw-solutions.store\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florian Winkler Solutions<\/a>) with Photonis XR5 High Gain GP 1600+ FOM. This list is by no means complete, and after using the device more, I\u2019ll create additional content on it \ud83d\ude09&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Thoughts and Notes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>NVG + Thermal + Bridge <strong>with batteries has a weight of 732g<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The thermal device has its battery compartment to the right of the eyepiece. So placing the Thermal on the right eye can be advantageous in terms of space<\/li>\n<li>You cannot aim through the thermal device when it\u2019s helmet-mounted. Therefore, for right-handed shooters, having the NVG on the right side is better for quick weapon reaction<\/li>\n<li>A bicycle inner tube fits around the eyepiece of the thermal device (e.g., to darken the gap between the device and a scope\/red dot sight)<\/li>\n<li>The \u201cRed Hot\u201d color mode can be disadvantageous when used with a red dot<\/li>\n<li>With green phosphor, the green color mode works fine<\/li>\n<li>Can be paired with the smart phone by using the <strong>App InfiRayOutdoor2<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Positive Experiences<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The brain combines the two images quite well<\/li>\n<li>Thermal device usable during the day as well<\/li>\n<li>Weapon adaptation is practical<\/li>\n<li>The thermal device runs on 18650 batteries (no special battery required)<\/li>\n<li>High-quality workmanship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Negative Points<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Setup is heavier than a bino<\/li>\n<li>The silicone lens cap is fiddly (30mm)<\/li>\n<li>Depth perception roughly comparable to a monocular<\/li>\n<li>The thermal device is not recognized by Mac (unfortunately no MicroSD, only internal storage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28581\" src=\"https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2500\" height=\"1667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web.jpg 2500w, https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/ripperkon.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/ON_5348-web-2048x1366.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2500px) 100vw, 2500px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently put together the setup from Falcon Claw.
