The AustriAlpin RIG-IT three2give rigging plate can serve as a strong central anchor point for rescue and ropework systems. A special feature is the large opening, which allows for carabiner-free rigging.<\/p>\n

The plate features a total of 9 holes with 22\u202fmm diameter and one significantly larger opening, which is ideal for use with textile connectors.

The rigging plate is one of three anchoring devices in the Rig-It line from AustriAlpin.

It is available in blue and black.

The plate can be used for setups where multiple points need to be connected. For example, here in a sparse 3-point anchoring setup using trees.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The large opening can also be used with one or more carabiners, but carabiners may slide inside when the load shifts. Therefore, the round holes are generally better for carabiners. One or two 30\u202fcm round slings can be a great addition to the plate to avoid metal sliding on metal. The edges are nicely rounded, making it easy to tie in slings or ropes directly.

Now to the strength of the large opening: you can connect two Texora Compact or Mamba slings directly using a girth hitch, saving hardware.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Or you can connect a rope with a girth hitch. Shown here is the 8\u202fmm Resc-Tech from Teufelberger<\/a> \u2014 additionally secured with a munter mule overhand.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The plate offers a wide range of options and can already be used in somewhat more complex rope rescue setups – like tensioned diagonal high lines.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h2>\n

A great plate that I like to pack when the RIG-IT One2Three is too small and the RIG-IT Seven2Eight is too big. Or simply as a counterpart on the other end of an diagonal high line, for example.<\/p>\n

What I especially appreciate about this rigging plate is the large opening, which allows for quickly creating a solid anchor point with two textile slings around a thick tree or steel beam. <\/p>\n
