This is a short review where I primarily introduce the product and provide a first impression. This allows me to present products earlier without being held back by my high standards for depth and detail.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote><\/p>\n

When it comes to gloves for fast roping, the challenge is often to have maximum protection against friction heat on the rope while still preferring thin shooting gloves once on the ground. And ideally, both in one glove. Masters of Gloves has taken on this challenge and created a glove that at least goes in this direction.<\/p>\n

Material:<\/strong> Leather palms, synthetic backhand with neoprene
\nSpecial feature:<\/strong> Contact heat protection according to EN407(X2XXXX), which provides about 15 seconds of protection at 250\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

The glove immediately stands out visually from a classic fast rope glove. The cuff is shorter, and the fit is a bit more snug.

The backhand consists of breathable material on the sides and fingertips, along with smooth neoprene that provides basic impact protection but is not breathable.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The palm areas are well reinforced in critical spots.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The leather is double-layered, with strategically placed stitching. The pinky finger is generously reinforced.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Some areas inside are additionally lined with an aramid layer for extra protection.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Loops for carabiners or retention lanyards are also included.
\n\"\"    <\/p>\n

The Glove in Shooting<\/h2>\n

With a rifle, even thick gloves can work well. It becomes particularly interesting with a pistol.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Whether this glove truly succeeds as a “rope-to-gun” glove is discussed in the conclusion.

Conclusion<\/h2>\n

I have used the glove for shooting and multiple times on the fast rope. I have yet to test how the neoprene backhand performs on warm summer days over an extended period.<\/p>\n

Fit and Design<\/strong>
\nThe glove has a relatively short cuff, avoiding interference with watches. It is labeled as “Slim Fit,” but it is still relatively spacious. It does fit more snugly than the “regular” MoG Fast Rope Glove, but there is still enough room to wear a pair of MoG Target Light Duty gloves underneath.<\/p>\n

Heat Protection<\/strong>
\nCompared to the MoG Fast Rope Glove, this one has a higher protection rating under EN 407. However, during fast roping, it seems to allow heat to penetrate more easily. I do not have measuring equipment for this, so I can only rely on my subjective perception.<\/p>\n

Durability in Fast Roping<\/strong>
\nOf course, I tested the glove on the rope. In my first test, after six rapid 10m descents, I already had a hole. Then I switched to a new pair, and after 12 slower 10m rope slides, I had another hole. While these gloves are high-quality and can be used for shooting, if you frequently train or conduct exercises involving rope work, I recommend the “regular” MoG Fast Rope Glove<\/a> (review available), as it holds up better under repeated use.<\/p>\n

Handling Firearms<\/strong>
\nThe glove is fairly usable for firearm handling. Rifles are manageable, and handguns are also okay. However, they should not be compared to the shooting gloves from the Target line, which are significantly superior for that purpose.<\/p>\n

Final Thoughts<\/strong>
\nA specialized glove that, due to its limited durability, is more suited for actual operations. Once arriving on a rooftop or ship, one can secure themselves or perform tasks without immediately wanting to switch gloves. For training and exercises, I recommend using the other model. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
