The MoG Fast Rope is a glove designed for fast roping. The focus is on durability and protection. An opening at the cuff allows for attachment to a gear carabiner, making it easy to secure the gloves to your equipment.

The back is made of a synthetic, fairly thick elastic material.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The adjustable cuff ensures the gloves fit securely on the hand.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Here is the opening for a carabiner or safety lanyard. The cuff on both sides is made of neoprene.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The inside of the cuff is soft and plush.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The palm is made of smooth leather with an additional layer of matte leather that takes most of the wear. Now, the triangle between the thumb patch and the palm has also been reinforced, but I own the old model.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The index finger also has some extra reinforcement.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

On the inside, the glove is padded on the palm and thumb. And generous protection with aramid is also there.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h2>\n

Fit and Comfort<\/strong>
\nThe glove can be securely tightened around the wrist. They are relatively long, which can be slightly inconvenient when wearing a watch. The fingers are described by the manufacturer as “slim fit” \u2013 but I find them more spacious. I had a few instances where my pinky twisted while sliding, allowing heat to get through.<\/p>\n

Suitable for Frequent Use<\/strong>
\nI’ve used the gloves repeatedly for fast roping, and they hold up well to frequent and heavy use. Therefore, they are suitable for training purposes.<\/p>\n

Use with normal Ropes<\/strong>
\nThey are not designed for handling thin ropes. For this I miss the reinforcement between the thumb and index finger, where thin ropes tend to slide. The MoG Rappel Glove would probably be a better choice for that.<\/p>\n

Compatibility<\/strong>
\nA big plus for me is the range of sizes available. The glove is offered in 3XL, which fits my large hands, and I can even wear a pair of MoG Target Light gloves underneath to enhance heat protection and quickly switch to more dexterous gloves once on the ground. I wasn’t sure if the 2XL size would fit properly.<\/p>\n

Weapon Handling<\/strong>
\nThese gloves aren’t particularly suitable for shooting. It may work somewhat with a long gun, but that\u2019s not what they are designed for.<\/p>\n

Final Thoughts<\/strong>
\nIf you’re looking for durable gloves for fast roping, these are an excellent choice.<\/p>\n
